I began working for the Forest Service in the summer of 2000 as a wildland firefighter. After receiving a degree in Finance from the University of Montana in the same year, I moved to Utah to study avalanche forecasting and snow science and began working on the Snowbird Ski patrol. At around the same time, I decided to begin a visual journal of my adventures, and began studying photography. I am currently employed with the Missoula Smokejumpers in Montana during the summer, and work for both the Snowbird Ski Patrol and guide for the Park City Powder Cats in the winter and shoot year round.
